Time to hunt out and tune up your bikes, helmet, bright outfits, lights, and a speaker!

It’s that time of year again when the streets light up and the cars slow down, with cyclists of all genres hitting the streets in an array of colours and beats. This community event is all about getting people riding, visible and confidant so even if you don’t ride all the time you can still have a blast! The ride will start at Artworks and end at Artworks for our signature post-ride boogie.
Meet at 6:30pm at Artworks Courtyard for vegan sausages and other food (bring your wallet!) We’ll have face painting and plenty of time to mingle with the cycling community before we set out, close to sunset. The party goes until 11pm!

This year’s Bike Rave route is a longer ride than previous years, where we’ll be heading to Surfdale along the Esplanade, then back to Artworks. All kids must wear a helmet and be accompanied by a guardian to go on this ride.

A FREE one and a half hour workshop presented by Felipe Mantilla of CBMK Immigration Services and the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Waiheke Health Trust's upcoming free community information session will help locals understand dementia. Topics include warning signs, the different types of dementia, the stages of the disease, and pathways to diagnosis and treatment.  Former Local Board Chair Cath Handley will moderate the panel, made up of staff from Ostend Medical Centre, Dementia North, and Age Brightly.  Waiheke Health Trust has organised the information evening for anyone with questions, whether they’re noticing changes in themselves, watching a parent’s memory decline, caring for a partner already living with dementia, or simply wanting to understand healthy ageing.
